VESS Restoration Cleaning Systems have been successfully used on this project

Langlols-Eteveneaux House Akaroa

This building was the first building to be built in the area in the 1840’s and historically very important. There were up to 13 layers of paint in some areas. The wood was very soft in some areas and very delicate. JetX had to be careful not to destroy the historic fabric of the wooden weather boards, facings etc., which were heavily grained, with exposed nail heads and original saw cuts. This was all left intact when we had completed our restoration work. It looks like it had just been built. The painter was amazed. The building was then recoated in a light buff colour similar to that found by microscopic study of the lowest layer.
